Candid Microphone (1948-1954)

Picture
Between 1948 and 1954,  the CANDID MICROPHONE shorts were produced by Ben and George Blake, and hosted by Allen Funt (who also served as producer on a few of the titles). Based on Funt's own radio series of the same name, the format was that of a practical joke/hidden camera theme with the laughs coming from natural reactions and responses of the "victims" of the pranks, an idea that would be put to better use with the more popular television series CANDID CAMERA. The following is a complete list of titles and theatrical release dates, but no other information synopsis-wise is available.

All 29 entries in the series were directed by George Blake.
